THE SILENT CONNECTION
The Silent Connection explores the invisible relationship between a woman and the world that
surrounds her.
Her eyes are open, yet they are absent — without pupils, without a fixed gaze. She looks, but does
not look outward. This emptiness turns her attention toward an inner space and creates a feeling of
suspension between the visible world and consciousness.
A white dove touches her face. The bird becomes a silent presence and a symbol of peace, intuition
and connection with another living world. There is no dialogue between them, yet the contact feels
intimate and instinctive — a connection beyond language.
The space around the woman is deliberately fragmented and slightly unreal. Geometric forms, the
empty chequered floor and isolated objects create a sense of distance, silence and inner emptiness.
The familiar world becomes strange, existing somewhere between an interior, a dream and an inner
landscape.
The work continues my exploration of the female inner world, the emptiness of space and the
instinctive connection between woman, nature and birds. Sometimes the deepest connection does
not require words or even a gaze. It is simply felt.
The painting was inspired by the surreal spatial language of René Magritte, the freedom of colour and
form in Henri Matisse, and the geometric rhythm of Liubov Popova.
