THE BEGINNING

This work opens The Artist's Path, an autobiographical series about my inner transformation and my
becoming an artist.
For many years, I lived in a world of the body, discipline, and movement, working as a Pilates trainer.
Art had always existed somewhere within me, yet I did not allow myself to become the person I may
have wanted to be all my life.
Everything began with a book.
New knowledge, new thoughts, and a completely different way of looking at myself gradually began to
change my perception of reality.
In the first painting, the heroine is me. She still belongs to the familiar world, yet she has already
turned away from it. The book becomes a symbolic point of entry into another space. The real
landscape slowly loses its familiar contours and transforms into a vivid, illusory world.
She is not yet an artist. She does not yet know who she will become.
But the inner movement has already begun.
